Extending your visa in bali
I will start by saying that I have NEVER been in a country where extending your visa or finding ways to do it was so confusing.
(And yes, now you do need a visa to enter Indonesia and therefore Bali - Cost: 500.000 IDR/ 30 euros)
There are two ways for extending your Visa in Bali, depending on if you’ve initially applied for an E-VOA (Online Visa on Arrival) or VOA (Visa on arrival):
Extending it online
In this case it is pretty straightforward as you will be able to extend it online here. You’ll need to use the ID numbers you would have received when applying for the first online Visa (E-VOA) and follow the steps.
Cost: 500.000 IDR/ 30 euros
2. Extending it at the Immigration Office
On your own: It will take you 3 return trips to the Immigration office in Jimbaran or Uluwatu. The first trip will be to drop off your passport. The second for your finger prints. The third to pick up your passport. In the meantime they will give you a photocopy of your passport with an official receipt that you can show when needed.
Cost: 500.000 IDR + 3 return trips to the Immigration Office
(Recommended) with an agent: Depending on where you are staying, you will find several immigration agent offices. You will need to drop off you passport to one of these offices and they will take care of all the rest. The only trip you’ll have to make to the Immigration Office in Jimbaran or Uluwatu is for finger prints. In the meantime they will give you a photocopy of your passport with an official receipt that you can show when needed. Once all the process is over the agent will call you to come to take back your passport.
Office in Canggu: VABC
Cost: 800.000 IDR + 1 return trip to the Immigration Office
IMPORTANT ADVICE: Start the procedures as soon as you can, especially if you decide to do it on your own, as it may take up to two weeks!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The price may differ depending on which country your passport was issued from.
