2 days in Siquijor
Siquijor island is located in Central Visayas, between Panglao, Cebu and Negros island.
We arrived from Bohol at 5pm (there is only one boat a day from and towards Bohol with the company Ocean Jet).
Must go to Places in Siquijor:
Paliton beach : We rented a scooter and drove to Paliton beach to see the sunset, and I have to say that I have rarely seen such a beautiful sunset. The water was transparent with the reflexion of the sun setting. In the far distance you could see the mountain range from the island in front. It is a small beach were you can find a cocktail stand, beers and snacks, as well as some food. [Read More]
Entry environmental fee : 20 pesos (0,33 cents), but if you arrive there when the sun is on the point to set, itβs free ;)
Hidden Valley hotel and restaurant : We drove to our hotel which was located in Lazi (approx. 40 minutes drive from Paliton Beach). When we arrived it was dark, but the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant and the kindness of every single staff member predicted we had chosen the right place. We were offered two welcome drinks and our meals were incredible. For starters we had the shrimps and the bruschetta. For the mains, the Bibimbap had these wonderful flavors and the curry was very tasty.

Old Enchanted Tree : The next morning we started off by visiting the old enchanted tree (Balete tree). The Enchanted Tree is typically a massive and ancient banyan tree, its roots winding and intertwining with one another, creating an otherworldly canopy. Beneath the tree's sprawling branches, there is a fish spa in which you can dip your feet in while relaxing with the sound of the water and the surrounding nature.
Entry fee : 20 pesos (0,33 cents)
The Cambugahay falls : Cambugahay Falls is a stunning natural gem tucked away in the lush tropical paradise of Siquijor Island in the Philippines. This multi-tiered waterfall is renowned for its crystalline blue waters, inviting pools, and the enchanting natural surroundings. [Read more]

The lookout : This is the highest point on the island! We were the only ones and it was truly magical. You get to have a 360 degree panoramic view.
The butterfly Sanctuary: One of the main beauty of the butterfly sanctuary is the opportunity to witness these winged creatures up close in their natural habitat. The man who takes care of the sanctuary is a profound lover of nature and is willing to preserve the butterfly species.
