Alona Beach

Alona Beach is probably the most well-known beach on Panglao Island. To arrive there you will need to walk through a street full of bars, restaurants and massage places. This may be a bit overwhelming, especially when your main goal is to have a relaxing time alone or with friends…. And this is why I’ll give you my tip to enjoy this beach without all the excitation around !

When to go: From 4:00 PM until sunset

First of all I recommend going there around 4:00PM until sunset because at that time the sun is not as strong and you get to enjoy beautiful color reflexions on the water.

Where exactly is your secret point? The best way to go there is by scooter, but if you don’t have one you can always take a tricycle and walk the rest. You can also get there from the main entrance, but then it’s less adventurous and you still need to go through the noisy street 😉.

You need to enter Kalipayan Beach on Google maps to arrive where I want to take you. Once you arrive at Kalipayan, you go a bit further until you see steps going down on your right. Climb down those steps and you’ll arrive at the far end of Alona Beach, being our final destination.

N.B. You need to check out Kalipayan too. Many Filipino students go there for sunset while enjoying a beer.
